B2B Scotland –
connecting businesses effectively
B2B Scotland 2012 brought together key figures from the public and private sectors and – fulfilling the original vision behind its creation – built a cross-industry community of forward-thinking organisations currently working across Scotland’s core sectors.
In line with the Scottish Government’s ongoing commitment to supporting Scottish businesses and helping them to flourish, B2B Scotland 2012 showcased the crème de la crème of Scotland’s vibrant businesses and was supported by Scottish Enterprise, Business Gateway and other leading business organisations.
In its second year, the event saw a successful full day of networking for the near-800 delegates in attendance, who had the chance to talk business face to face. Workshops and seminars provided invaluable information and educational themes for business leaders as they heard from buyers and public sector leaders from the Institute of Directors, Glasgow University and Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.
The Live Keynote Arena welcomed a strong line-up of industry leaders and experts who gave essential advice to suppliers looking to get the most out of their opportunities with public buyers.
Speakers included Crawford Gillies, Chairman, Scottish Enterprise; Nick Price, Founder & CEO, Bright Purple; Bill McBride, Director, West Crowns; Professor Donald MacLean and Professor Robert Macintosh, Business School, Glasgow University; and Monica Langa, Head of Member Services Scotland, IoD Scotland.
Overall, B2B Scotland 2012 presented suppliers with the chance to explore new ideas and ways to innovate and examined new legislation that could affect the running of their business. The event also advised on how to stay ahead of competitors, how to improve business processes, and how to maximise opportunities.
